The parameter "Number of Reconnect Attempts Before Suspending impacted Service" specifies the no.of reconnect attempts until when the adapter stores the incoming requests so that they can be processed once it is able to reconnect to Siebel Server.

Once the adapter crosses the no.of reconnect attempts specified in this parameter, it will lose all the requests received uptill then, but will still try to reconnect until the value specified in Maximum no.of Reconnect Attempts.
Once the connection is lost,  adapter goes into reconnection when it receives the first message and thereafter the time interval between each reconnect attempt is as specified in the parameter "Interval between Reconnect Attempts (milliseconds)"

The valid values for the parameter "Number of Reconnect Attempts Before Suspending impacted Service" are between 0 and 65535.
