Description:
TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.2 now supports Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2.x.x) (Standard Edition, Standard Edition One and Enterprise Edition) when used as the database for an administration domain.

Limitations and Restrictions:

When using Oracle 11g Release 2 for purposes other than an administration domain, verify that higher level products, such as TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks(TM), also support Oracle 11g Release 2.

Installation Steps:

See "TIBCO Runtime Agent Installation" document for installation information. There is no change in the installation steps when using Oracle 11g Release 2 as the database for an administration domain.

Supported Drivers:

The following drivers are supported for Oracle 11g Release 2 with TIBCO Runtime Agent 5.6.2:
* Oracle 11g Release 2 thin driver
* Oracle 11g Release 2 OCI driver

The following driver configurations have been tested:
* Oracle Database 11g with Oracle 11g thin driver
* Oracle Database 11g with Oracle 11g OCI driver
* Oracle Database 11g with TIBCO (DataDirect) driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with Oracle 11g thin driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with Oracle 11g OCI driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with TIBCO (DataDirect) driver
* Oracle Database 11g RAC with Oracle 11g OCI driver and TAF (Transparent Application Failover)

Known Issues:

Summary: When starting an admin service that is based on the Oracle 11g RAC thin or thick driver, the following exception is thrown:

"SEVERE: Error while registering Oracle JDBC Diagnosability MBean.
javax.management.MalformedObjectNameException: Invalid character '' in value part of property"

Workaround: None. The exception can be ignored. It has no impact on administration domain functionality.
