Customers usually set up multiple BusinessConnect(BC) environments (development, test, production, etc.).  This article discusses the importance of isolating these environments from each other.

When setting up multiple BC environments, make sure to set the "Installation Name" of BC (under Administrator&gtBusinessConnect&gtSystem Settings&gtGeneral Setting) to a different value for each environment.  Doing so will keep RV traffic isolated between environments and also prevent a BC component (such as the DMZ environment in one environment) from communicating inadvertently with another BC component (an interior server in another environment).  If you are using JMS, this will insure that all environments use different JMS topics and queues for each environment.
