Description

Description:
RVRD does not routing some subscriptions with a large subject space.

Symptoms:
1). Large to very large deployments, including extensive routing networks

 2). Large subject spaces.

3). Router TCP Network disconnect leading to CPU-intensive routing updates. One part of code causes the RVRD to accidentally drop subject interests.

4). "Disconnected" in the RVRD log file is seen.

Cause:
The cause of this issue is a race condition in a neighbor connection re-establishment processing.

Resolution

Upgrade to RV 8.4.2. All RVRDs have to be upgraded in the environment.

Known issue: RV-3213

Fixed a defect in which a routing daemon could stop routing messages after recovering from loss of network connectivity with neighboring routers. This symptom could occur in large routing topologies with large numbers of subscriptions.

Issue/Introduction

RVRD did not route all intended subscriptions.
