The Java class is defined as "public class". The error, "Miising Invalid Java Custom function.summary" occurs in Designer when clicking on the "Validate Project For Deployment" option.

The error is caused by a Java version mismatch. If the Java class is compiled in Java 1.6 and Designer uses JRE 1.5, the error is thrown. The problem can be fixed by modifying the designer.tra file to use JRE 1.6.
