While trying to start the BC interior server, it fails with the "Error during registering access to DBLock resources.: Error creating db handle" exception.

To resolve this issue, in Administrator, navigate to Application Management>Business Connect ->Configuration ->Business Connect ->Component Settings ->Intercomponent Advanced settings. There make a note of Shared Temporary Directory and Local Temporary Directory. Make sure that these directories exist and have the correct permissions set to allow all BusinessConnect engines to read and write to them.
