Resolution:
This is applicable only when the application server is JBOSS.
In the $MQ_HOME/config/MqLog.cnf config file, uncomment the line log4j.additivity.com.martquest=false and comment the line log4j.rootLogger=DEBUG
Restart the server after the changes are made. The println statements would be shown in the JBOSS console.
