In Tibco product download site, we have the following package for TIBCO Rendezvous on Linux:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (AS, ES), 5 (Advanced Platform, Classic) (x86) or Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 1 (x86)  TIB_rv_8.1.1_linux24gl23_x86.tar.gz

Here we only list several popular Linux versions. However, we support RV 8 on Linux platforms based on the Linux kernel version and glibc version.
For 8.1, we support Linux kernel 2.4 or 2.6 and above and glibc 2.3 and above.
Therefore we support RV 8.1 on Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise 9 (x86) also.

If you do not know if RV 8.1 is supported on your box, you could verify the kernel version and glibc version on your box by:

-- run "uname -a" to get kernel version
-- run "rpm -q glibc" to get glibc version
