Description:
When a TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Files (Unix/Win) (FA) instance has too many Hawk sessions in the advanced
folder, FA can encounter the following error during start-up:
>>Startup error. SDK Error: Repository Exception : VariableNotFoundException Substitution Variable not defined.
Symptoms:
1). Startup error. SDK Error: Repository Exception : VariableNotFoundException is seen though project configuration looks fine in TIBCO Designer.
2). You will find too many Hawk sessions in the advanced folder of the project in TIBCO Designer.
Cause:
Too many Hawk sessions indicate the project is corrupted as one of the
unused Hawk sessions is looking for the variable which is not defined.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, create a fresh TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Files (Unix/Win)(FA) instance in the project by copying publication services and read schemas (if present) from an old to new instance, and then delete the old FA instance from the project.
