When trying to copy a file inside a remote server, BW throws Cannot copy file exception. The copy file activity works fine in designer but fails with above exception when you deploy it.

Resolution:
As the copy file activity works fine within designer, its clearly a user permission issue.
When you deploy the application , the "hawkagent" process starts the engine internally and hence check if the user who started the hawk agent has permissions to access,write the file in the folder you are trying to copy the file into . Check the user permission on hawkagent on the box where you deploy the BW application.
