Description

Resolution:
The MatrixBlobs directory is used as a disk cache within an ActiveMatrix Cluster.  If a resource has many objects in it that reference many objects of the BLOB data type, then this resource may take a longer time to be loaded from the database.  Transporting BLOB objects over HTTP and the Administrator Server accessing these objects repeatedly can affect performance within the cluster. For this reason ActiveMatrix stores these BLOBs in the file system cache to improve performance.

Attached please find examples of the files stored in the AMX Admin temp directory.

The accumulation of these files on the disk should be proportional to the objects in the BLOB table in the cluster.  It is possible but not required to move these files out of this directory if desired.  The steps to do so would be:

o Stop the ActiveMatrix Administrator
o Move these files to a temp folder
o Restart the ActiveMatrix Administrator
