The following procedure must be followed to configure the Managed File Transer Server 1.X.X and Managed File Transfer Agent 1.X.X to use LDAP.

Environment:

TIBCO Managed File Transfer Server 1.X.X and TIBCO Managed File Transfer Agent 1.X.X all versions.

Resolution:

To configure the MFT Server and Agents to use LDAP authentication, you must do the following:

On the MFT Server:

Under Managed File Transfer > System Settings make sure you configure the LDAP settings correctly paying particular attention to the Directory Base DN setting.

Under Agents, create an Agent with the same name as the LDAP entry. Then, under the File Transfer tab make sure that Authentication is set to "LDAP" (setting the password is not required).

On the MFT agent:

Using the deployment wizard at the "1 of 7" screen, make sure to set the "Startup Authenticate Password" to the LDAP agent password.
