Description
Resolution:
Ledger file corruption can occur due to one of the following conditions:
- Two or more applications sharing the same ledger file
- The ledger file being stored on a NFS/RFS (networked) file system
- The ledger file's media (disk) failure
- The machine hosting the ledger file abruptly terminating (due to a power outage, fire, explosion, etc.)
These conditions are not necessarily going to result in a corrupt ledger, but make such corruption more likely to occur.
