Description:
FA instance shows "Error" or "Unknown" state when RVD is restarted or recycled.
Symptoms:
FA instance status shows the wrong status in the Administrator GUI.
Cause:
TIBCO Rendezvous (RVD) session is disconnected from FA and TIBCO Hawk and advisories are logged into FA and Hawk logs.
Resolution
When RVD is restarted/recycled, then the status on FA instance shows "Error/Unknown" on Admin GUI.
Case 1). If using EMS as the transport, some advisories are logged (due to RVD being killed) in the log file. However, the FA instance will be running. The FA instance shows "Error" status in Admin GUI.
Case 2). If using RV as the transport, then the FA instance will stop during the restart/recycle process. The FA instance shows "Unknown" status in Admin GUI.
For both the cases, Hawk should be restarted to get the correct status display on Admin GUI.
