Description
Description: Why are server local admin rights required for running scheduled reports within TIBCO Nimbus and is there a way for this access not to be required? Symptoms: When trying to create a scheduled report within TIBCO Nimbus - an access denied error is shown Cause: Prior to TIBCO Nimbus V 9.3 - the scheduled report functionality within TIBCO Nimbus used the Windows Scheduler component. This requires local administrator rights in order for it to be used - which in turn meant that anyone wanting to set up a scheduled report within TIBCO Nimbus also needed this access.
As from V 9.3 this functionality has been improved and local administrator rights on the server is no longer needed. You must however ensure that the TIBCO Nimbus Batch Server component is installed, as this is responsible for running the scheduled reports.
Resolution
You must either provide the user with local administrator rights on the server or upgrade to the latest version of TIBCO Nimbus
