Resolution:
SPMExport could not be started. The error shows the error:

Most likely cause of corruption would be that the end tag for the profile element is missing or that there is an error somewhere in the swexport.xml file so that the end tag does not pair up with the profile element.
This could happen if the swexport.xml file is edited manually. If there is a missing quote (“) symbol, this would cause the problem. If any of the “node” elements do not have a valid end tag, this would also cause the problem.

Solution:
correct/replace swexport.xml file the utility uses (defined in registry string HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Staffware plc\SPM Export\AppPath) with a valid XML format
