Description:
TIBCO Adapter(TM) for LDAP 5.4.0 now supports AIX 6.1 in addition to the currently supported platforms listed in the product documentation.
Please note that any new features or functionality available in the above AIX version is not necessarily supported by TIBCO Adapter(TM) for LDAP 5.4.0. Please contact Support if there are any questions regarding whether a certain feature is supported by TIBCO Adapter(TM) for LDAP 5.4.0

Limitation and Restrictions:
===================
Microsoft Active Directory requires both LDAP server and adapter running on Win32. Thus, the supported Microsoft directories are restricted to the Windows platform.
TRA 5.6 is required when using AIX 6.1 - please refer to LBN1-9DSCUQ for details regarding TRA 5.6.
AIX 6.1 is supported on 32-bit platform using JRE 1.5.
Installation Steps:

Please use the AIX installation package to install the adapter. Please follow the installation instruction as detailed in the User’s Guide for UNIX installation for more information about installation on this platform.

Known Issues:
============
Design Time Test Connection fails when SSL is configured, with LDAP Server running on AIX platform
Symptoms
========
Test Connection Failed if SSL-external is selected in Design-time Connection Tab. This only affects the connection to the supported Server running on AIX platform.
In the LDAP Adapter Configuration,
1) Click Design-time Connection Tab
2) Use SSL is selected
3) Authentication Mode is selected to External
4) Use Design-time Connection For Run-time is selected
5) Click Test Connection
Impact
======
Loss of functionality
Cause
=====
The behavior of security functionality in IBM JDK is different from Sun JDK. LDAP adapter uses Sun JDK by default.
Workaround:
=========
Use Test Connection in Run-time Connection Tab
In the LDAP Adapter Configuration,
1) Click Design-time Connection Tab
2) Use SSL is de-selected
3) Use Design-time Connection For Run-time is de-selected
4) Click Run-time Connection Tab
5) Use SSL is selected
6) Authentication Mode is External
