Description

Admin server could not start after migrating domain from 5.3.x (32-bit installer) to 5.6.x (64-bit installer)?

Environment
=========
Product Name/ Version   : TIBCO Administrator 5.6.x, 5.3.x
TIBCO Runtime Agent(TM) 5.6.x 5.4.x
OS: HP-UX and Solaris platforms

Resolution
=========
TIBCO Applications need to be configured manually to run in 64-bit mode. For more details refer to TRA (5.5) Document-Installation-&gtChapter 3 Installation on UNIX Systems : Configuring TIBCO Applications to Run in 64-bit Mode

For Admin v5.5.0 (or lower) and TRA v5.5.x (or lower), HP-UX and Solaris platforms have only 32-bit installers and do not have 64-bit installers. You will configure the Admin/TRA manually to run at 64-bit after installation. From Admin 5.6.0 and TRA 5.6.0, HP-UX and Solaris platforms have both 32-bit and 64-bit installers. If Admin v5.5.0 32-bit (or lower) or TRA v5.5.x 32-bit (or lower) upgrate to 5.6.0 64-bit. All domains will continue to use 32-bit wrapper and 32-bit JVM reference default.
