Resolution:
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 5.x supports SHA-2 certificates for use with HTTPS. If you want to use SHA-2 with Security Policies (WSS) then you need BW 5.11 or higher. See the Release note section below:

Support for SHA256, SHA384, SHA512 Algorithm
Support added for SHA256, SHA384, and SHA512 signature algorithms in the Security Policy resource (Inbound/Inbound Fault and Outbound/Outbound Fault policy types) that can be used for:
• creating signatures for outgoing messages.
• checking signatures of incoming messages.
