Description:
When a participant has multiple Interchange Qualifier ID's configured, how can a user reset the Interchange/Group/Transaction Control Numbers for a specific Interchange Qualifier ID's? For example, if an X12 or EDIFACT EDI participant has three Interchange Qualifier ID's configured in Admin/BC/Participants/Participant_Name/Protocols/Protocol_Name/General/Default Interchange Qualifier ID.  For this example, assume that the "first' Interchange Qualifier ID in the drop down list is selected as a Default Interchange Qualifier ID. The "Reset on Save" functionality will only work on the "default" qualifier and ID. It will not affect the other qualifier ID pairs.



Resolution

When you enable "Reset on Save" and save the configuration, it would reset the Control Numbers for the Interchange Qualifier ID that was selected from the "Default Interchange Qualifier ID" drop down list. To reset the control number for a non-default qualifier ID pair, change the "Default Interchange Qualifier ID" value to the qualifier ID pair for which you would like to reset the control numbers and then enable "Reset on Save" and save the configuration. Once done, you will have to reset the "Default Interchange Qualifier ID" setting back to its original value.
