Installation of TIBCO BusinessEvents version 5.1.1 on MacOS failed.
Symptoms:
The following error is thrown when starting the TIBCO Universal Installer:
“No Java Runtime Environment (JRE) was found on this system.”
Cause:
TIBCO Universal Installer of TIBCO BusinessEvents 5.1.1 supports Java 1.6 only.
Resolution
Download the latest TIBCO Universal Installer version from TIBCO's Hotfix download
site (mft.tibco.com) and execute the
installation again with the new Installer.
Note: Another option is to copy the TIBCO Universal Installer "TIBCOUniversalInstaller-mac.bin" from the TIBCO BusinessEvents 5.1.4 installation files.
