Description:
When trying to start the adapter instance by Adapter Tester on TIBCO Designer, TIBCO Designer throws the following exception and the adapter instance cannot be started due to the following exception.
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.tibco.ae.tools.adaptertester.AdapterProcess.run(AdapterProcess.java:606)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
This exception is caused by TIBCO Designer not being able to access the assigned "Working Directory" which is used for generating the repository and configuration files.
Resolution
Launch TIBCO Designer as Administrator then change the "Working Directory" configuration which is shown on Adapter Tester dialog to an existing location/folder of the file system.
