To check that the TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) Engines are running the most recent version of TIBCO BusinessWorks ProcessMonitor(BWPM) Client, start a query from within the BWPM GUI to search for the version number of the running BWPM Clients.

When BWPM Client sends log messages to the BWPM Server, each log message contains the version number of BWPM Client. The QuickSearch in the BWPM Server User Interface lets you search for a hidden attribute that contains the version number of the BWPM Client which sent the log message. The name of this attribute is:

$njams_client_version

TIBCO BusinessWorks ProcessMonitor(BWPM)  has a search feature so you can search jobs in the main view matching search criteria. Use this feature to check the BWPM Client version. For that you have to search using attribute_value.

In combination with attribute_value you can search for log entries that came from a specific version of BWPM Client. For example, you may want to find out which BW Engine is still running the old version "2" of BWPM Client: Refer to attached screenshot (Filename: BWPM_Client_Version_In _GUI.jpg) showing search attribute_value and results. After executing this query, you will get a list of log entries that were sent by BWPM Clients of version 2.x . The details provides you with the name of the machine where BWPM Client is running. Now you know in which machine you have to update BWPM Client to a newer version.
