Description:
There are three different stages of environments for SharePoint and BW, development, test and production environments. Can we deploy the SharePoint project without using the "Get Metadata" tool for the Test and Production environments? The developer does not have permission for the Test or Production environments.
Resolution
Metadata is only required in Designer to create/edit the BW process, and Metadata is not required in runtime. If finishing the process, deploy it to test and the production environment. However, this requires that the Metadata in the development environment should exactly be the same as the test/production environment when designing the process.
