Description:
After adding TIBCO EMS to an TIBCO Administration domain and clicking the EMS intance, the General tab is missing in the Admin GUI.
Symptoms:
The EMS plugin is added to TIBCO Administration domain successfully, but the General tab of the EMS instance in TIBCO Administrator GUI is missing.
Cause:
This is because TIBCO Administartor cannot find TIBCO EMS client libraries. The EMS plugin needs EMS client libraries to work properly. 

Resolution

Run traUpgradeManager to specify the EMS home for TIBCO Administrator, then restart TIBCO Administrator. 


Example:

   traUpgradeManager  -path $TIBCO_HOME/administrator/domain/domainname/bin/tibcoadmin_domainname.tra -ems $TIBCO_HOME/ems/8.x
