Q.    What is TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework?

TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework provides a visual, model-driven development environment for integrating adapters with TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6 applications and processes.  For the Adapter for Files for Unix/Windows, Adapter for SAP, and Adapter for Database, the Adapter Framework also provides configuration capabilities in TIBCO Business Studio as well as the ability to deploy those Business Studio adapter projects using TIBCO Enterprise Administrator.   

Q.   How does Adapter Framework enable LDAP, Siebel, PeopleSoft, and IBM i adapters to integrate with BW6?

You can migrate an adapter configuration project created in TIBCO Designer into TIBCO Business Studio.  After you migrated a non-native adapter configuration project into the TIBCO Business Studio, you cannot modify the project. Q.   How does Adapter Framework enable the Adapter for Files for Unix/Windows, Adapter for SAP, and Adapter for Database to integrate with BW6?

For existing Designer projects, you can migrate an adapter configuration project created in TIBCO Designer into TIBCO Business Studio. In addition, you can also configure new projects directly in Business Studio. Business Studio adapter projects can be deployed using TIBCO Enterprise Administrator.  Once a project has been created or modified in TIBCO Business Studio, you cannot edit it again in TIBCO Designer.
