Migrating an EAR file from a previous release to a later release. For example, an EAR file from TIBCO BusinessEvents (BE) 4.x is available and you are trying to migrate the project to BE 5.1.4.
Resolution
Step 1: You can get the file based project out of your BE 4.x EAR by deploying the EAR in the TIBCO Administrator domain.
Step 2: Once deployed, you will find the project being created under the <TIBCO_HOME>/TRA/domain/<DOMAIN_NAME>/datafiles folder.
Step 3: Once you have the BE 4.0.2 file based project from the data files folder, you can import the project inside BE 5.1.4 Studio and proceed with migration and further deployment in the upgraded release.
