Description:
With two EMS servers configured for FT, we want FOM to detect this. In case the EMS primary server goes down, we want FOM to connect to a secondary EMS server.

Resolution

To configure EMS FT, refer to the EMS documentation. For how to configure FOM, make sure factories used in FOM are present with the FT URL format in the EMS factories.conf file. FOM is using JNDI factories. Factories used by FOM are in ConfigValues_OMS.xml.

  • com.tibco.af.oms.jms.jndi.ConnectionFactory
  • com.tibco.af.oms.jms.jndi.TopicConnectionFactory
  • com.tibco.af.oms.jms.jndi.cf.beo


In the EMS configuration there will be factories.conf. There will be properties in the factories or using the default values:

  •  reconnect_attempt_count
  •  reconnect_attempt_delay
  •  reconnect_attempt_timeout
