Resolution:
rvd processes from release 8 can interoperate on the same network with rvd from release 7.
rvrd from release 8 interoperates with rvrd from release 7, and vice versa.  7.x and 8.x rvrds can be neighours.

RV 8.x is fully backward compatible with RV7.x.  Hence, RV 8.x (latest version is RV 8.1.2) is fully backward compatible with RV 7.5.x.

- Applications built with the RV 7.5.x client libraries can be re-linked with the RV 8.1.2 client libraries with no changes whatsoever.

- Applications built with the RV 7.5.x client libraries can be run against RV 8.1.2 daemons, and vice-versa.  RV 7 and RV 8 applications and daemons can also be intermixed.  Changes are only required for those applications/daemons that wish to take advantage of new functionality offered in RV 8.  Details on this new functionality can be found in the release notes and documentation for RV 8.

- If other TIBCO product was officially tested with RV 7.5.x, it should work fine with RV 8.1.2.  So, if the other TIBCO products work fine with RV 7.5.x, they should have no problems with RV 8.1.2.

- RV 7 and RV 8 ledger files are compatible.  The CM ledger file created by RV 7 API and the ledger file created by RV 8 API are compatible.  Hence, ledger files do not require modification.
