There are two cases where TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Files (FA) 6.1.0 is not recognized under a TIBCO Administrator 5.6.x domain.

1). If an old setup (FA Server) has installed FA 6.1.0 with TRA 5.7.x, and if it is added into an Admin domain 5.6.x running on another machine (Admin Server), then the File adapter 6.1.0 is not recognized under a TIBCO Administrator 5.6.x domain. Refer to the following configurations for the two servers.

Server1: FA server:

RVD 8.3.1
TRA 5.6.2
TRA 5.7.1
Hawk 4.9.0
FA 6.1.0

Server2: Admin Server:

TRA 5.6.2
Hawk 4.8.1
Admin 5.6.1


2). If FA 6.1.0 is installed on the same machine (FA server as below) where the Administrator domain 5.6.x is running, then the 5.6.x domain will not be able to recognize the FA 6.1.0 installation. Refer to the following configuration:

Server: FA server:

RVD 8.3.1
TRA 5.6.2
TRA 5.7.1
Hawk 4.9.0
FA 6.1.0

For FA 6.1.0 to  become recognized under the TIBCO Administrator 5.6.x domain for both cases is shown below:

1). Run the domain utility from TRA 5.7.1 and upgrade the client machine (Server1:FA server) to 5.7. This task will update the hawkagent references to 5.7. File adapter 6.1.0 will be recognized under the TIBCO Administrator 5.6.2 domain running on another machine.

2). Run the domain utility from TRA 5.7.1 and upgrade the client machine (FA server) to 5.7. This task will update the hawkagent references to 5.7. File adapter 6.1.0 will be recognized under the TIBCO Administrator 5.6.2 domain.
