PROBLEM:

While creating a Cluster synonym using databases tables and gets several errors with the following message/Warning:

'(FOC1362) COLUMN XXX MAY BE TRUNCATED IF LENGTH EXCEEDS 256'

SOLUTION:

From the WebFOCUS Server Console:

Go to adapters
Right click on respective adapter
Change settings and increase the CONV_LONGCHAR_LEN value
