While attempting to request a license extension, error message "internal error instantiating the registration object" appears and no license extension is granted:  

Cause:  A .dll is not registered.  

To resolve this error, follow these steps:

1.  Open an administrative command prompt.

2.  Key in 'regsvr32 stl_areg.dll' , without quotes, and press the Enter key.

3.  If successful, the following message should appear:

 4.  Click on the 'Request Extension' button to request the license extension again.
