Description

When a new node needs to be added to an existing SDV active cluster, this article help with the details of which node credentials can be provided for the new node join process.

Resolution

When joining a node to an existing SDV cluster, you can enter the information for any one of the SDV Servers that is already a member of the active cluster. It is not mandatory to provide details of the timekeeper node.

Hostname : The hostname of any SDV Server that is already a member of the cluster.
Port :The port ID of the SDV Server that is in the cluster. By default, the port ID is filled in.
Domain Name : The name of the domain to which the cluster server belongs. By default, the domain for this SDV server is filled in.
Username : The name of an administrative user who can access the cluster server.
Password : The password for the specified username.

Note:

- Be sure to enter the physical SDV Server address information—not the load balancer address information.

- You must have administrative credentials on both servers (joining node and the hostname node). 

- During the join operation, you cannot run Studio or perform any activities that use the joining SDV Server in Manager.
