================================================================================

6.12.0_HF-004 (This Release)

New Features

AMBW-57899
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF-004 introduces Guided Mapping,
allowing developers to provide a CSV specification file that explicitly defines
source field mappings and transformation rules for specific target elements.
A new UI is added on preference page under Mapper > Guided Mapping section
to configure this feature.

AMBW-57837
Support for Agent Loop Group Activity

The Agent Loop is a new group type in the BusinessWorks palette that provides
looping behavior similar to the Repeat group while adding support for Carried
Variables. The Carried Variables tab allows typed values to propagate
automatically across loop iterations, eliminating the need for Assign
activities inside the loop. It supports carrying complex schema-typed
variables (such as activity inputs/outputs) between iterations using XPath
mapping. Additionally, it offers per-variable visibility control
(Loop only or After loop), which promotes the final value to the
enclosing process scope.

AMBW-57744
Added a Hot Update API to the BusinessWorks 6 Agent REST layer,
allowing operators to trigger a live refetch of application properties
from external configuration systems without restarting the application.

AMBW-57492
BusinessWorks Studio now supports generating documentation for a selected
module project in offline mode using the new "Create BW Documentation"
context-menu option.

AMBW-57486
Added a "generate deployment manifest" capability to the BusinessWorks Design
Assistant. Upon request, it now generates the container/cloud deployment
manifest for a BusinessWorks application: manifest-bwce.json for
a Container (BWCE) application and manifest.json for a Cloud/iPaaS application.

AMBW-56928
BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant now offers a Prompt Library of reusable
prompt templates (slash commands) to speed up common BusinessWorks 6 tasks
and improve BDA consistency.

AMBW-56897
TIBCO BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF4 introduces Guided Mapping. Developers can now
provide a CSV specification file that explicitly defines which source fields
and transformation rules to apply to specific target elements.
The AI Mapper processes the specification beforehand and strictly follows
these instructions for the pinned fields. Any target fields not specified
in the file continue to be mapped automatically-allowing guided and
autonomous mapping to coexist in a single run.

Note: This is a Tech Preview feature applicable only to TIBCO ActiveMatrix
BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF-004 and above.

By using this Tech Preview, you acknowledge and agree that:

- It is provided "as is" with no warranties, express or implied.

- It may not be deployed in production environments.

- You are responsible for ensuring that any data processed complies
with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights.

- Use of this software to analyze content or intellectual property belonging
to Cloud Software Group is strictly prohibited.

AMBW-56825
Support for Guardrails in MCP Tool Response Schemas

Each MCP Tool now includes a new Guardrails tab to define response-protection
rules within the MCP Server configuration. You can configure field-level
masking and field removal to prevent sensitive data from appearing in tool
responses. Three protection types are supported: Email, Last 4, and Full Mask.

AMBW-56684
Added voice input support for BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant.

AMBW-56634
'lastDeployedDate' is now successfully retrieved and updated via the
bwadmin CLI and REST API across all supported DBEMS databases.

AMBW-56595
Added a Test Connection button to the AI Mapper Models preference page
in BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF4.

Previously, incorrect LLM provider settings (such as API keys, model names,
endpoints, or provider choices in online mode) caused the AI Mapper to
silently fail without generating mapping results, leaving errors hidden
inside Studio logs. Users can now validate their configuration prior to
executing mappings.

AMBW-56574
BusinessWorks 6 now supports OpenTelemetry Baggage propagation for carrying
business data context across service boundaries.

AMBW-56540
Added a "Test Connection" button to the BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant
Models preference page so users can validate the configured model API
connection directly from the page.

AMBW-56506
BDA now allows you to create, manage, and reuse Custom Skills (SKILL.md)
as slash commands across sessions, featuring trust-based execution controls
and tiered access (Built-In, My, and Team skills).

AMBW-56446
BusinessWorks Design Assistance now supports prompts to explain
a BusinessWorks application and its processes.

AMBW-56426
Ability to generate comprehensive project and application documentation using
the BusinessWorks Design Assistant. By providing a prompt, a documentation is
automatically compiled and exported across multiple standard file formats.

AMBW-56281
TIBCO BusinessWorks 6 (BW6) now provides native integration with
OpenTelemetry trace span metrics.

AMBW-56238
TIBCO BusinessWorks (Container) now allows you to dynamically
control which application components start at runtime using environment
variables. When used alongside -Dbwce.component.auto.start.override=true,
you can now control component behavior using three new variables:

- BW_INCLUDE_ALL_STARTERS=true: Forces all application components to start.

- BW_INCLUDE_STARTERS: Starts only the specified, comma-separated components
(alongside design-time auto-start components).

- BW_EXCLUDE_STARTERS: Excludes the specified, comma-separated components
from starting.

Note: Priority is evaluated as: BW_INCLUDE_ALL_STARTERS > BW_INCLUDE_STARTERS
> BW_EXCLUDE_STARTERS. System properties (-D) take precedence over
environment variables (-e).

AMBW-56232
AI Mapper now surfaces mapping results and low-confidence matches.
After the AI Mapper (in Local or LLM mode) completes an auto-mapping run,
low-confidence direct mappings are highlighted in amber on the mapper canvas
to distinguish them visually from normal (blue) mapping lines. The amber
highlight clears automatically when a mapping is manually overridden.
In addition, a new AI Mapping Summary dialog opens after each run,
displaying the number of mapped fields, the number of low-confidence mappings
to review, and any unmapped required target fields. These enhancements apply
only to the AI Mapper (Local and LLM modes); the legacy (non-AI)
mapper remains unchanged.

Add the following property to the TIBCOBusinessStudio.ini file to change
the threshold value:

| Property | Default | Description |
|------------------------|---------|----------------------------------------|
| bw.aimapper.low. | 0.60 | Score threshold below which a direct |
| confidence.threshold | | mapping is flagged as low-confidence. |
| | | Applies to the reranker score |
| | | (LLM mode) and the percentile score |
| | | (Local mode). Configurable via |
| | | -Dbw.aimapper.low.confidence. |
| | | threshold=<0.0-1.0>. |
| | | |

AMBW-56125
A new engine property, bw.engine.otel.mdc.override, has been introduced to
control the MDC output format for TraceID and SpanID.

bw.engine.otel.mdc.override, behavior by value:

- false (Default): Retains behavior from prior releases. Logs continue to
include the [TraceID: SpanID: ] prefix, ensuring existing
log-parsing configurations remain unaffected.

- true: Emits TraceID and SpanID as raw values without surrounding labels or
brackets, making them compatible with external log aggregation tools and
OpenTelemetry (OTel)-compliant observability platforms.

AMBW-56087
TIBCO BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF4 introduces AI-Assisted Transformations.
When the AI Mapper runs, it now analyzes the source and target schemas and,
where applicable, automatically generates the necessary XPath expressions to
transform the data-rather than simply mapping it.

AMBW-56077
A new REST API endpoint has been introduced to retrieve the current engine
state of a BusinessWorks 6 AppNode, including its persistence mode and
(for fault-tolerant group configurations) its active/passive role.
http://localhost:/bw/framework.json/state

AMBW-56006
A new MCP Starter activity and MCP Server Reply activity have been introduced
in TIBCO BusinessWorks to expose REST services as Model Context Protocol
(MCP) tools or resources. They support integration with an existing REST MCP
Server or can automatically start a standalone MCP Server when one is
unavailable. The MCP Starter activity works alongside MCP Server Reply to
return responses to AI clients. Standalone mode supports application/json
only; SOAP services are not supported.

AMBW-56005
TIBCO BusinessWorks 6 now supports an opt-in, configurable automatic restart
mechanism for applications that fail during startup. When enabled, if an
application transitions to the StartFailed state, the runtime automatically
schedules a restart after a specified delay, up to a maximum number of
attempts-eliminating the need for manual intervention.

Configuration Properties:

- bw.app.startup.retry.interval=30000 (Delay between retries in milliseconds)

- bw.app.startup.retry.count=3 (Maximum number of restart attempts)

AMBW-55983
Added support for encrypted LDAP bind passwords in JAAS configuration for
secure BWAgent authentication while maintaining backward compatibility
with plain-text passwords.

AMBW-55902
Added a bwdesign command setJavaCompliance to change java compiler version.

AMBW-55738
Support for JMS Resource Monitoring Metrics

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks now exports JMS shared-resource metrics
to OpenTelemetry so you can monitor total messages sent, total messages
received, active consumer count, active JMS sessions, active producer count,
and other states from any supported OpenTelemetry backend.

Set the system properties -Dbw.engine.opentelemetry.enable=true and
-Dbw.engine.opentelemetry.metric.enable=true for enabling the metrics.

AMBW-55736
Support for HTTP Resource Monitoring Metrics

TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks now exports HTTP Client and HTTP Connector
shared resource metrics to OpenTelemetry (OTel). This allows you to monitor
connection pool health, request throughput, latency, error rates, and circuit
breaker states from any supported OpenTelemetry backend. Both Apache
HttpComponents and Jetty HTTP client providers are fully instrumented.

Set the system properties -Dbw.engine.opentelemetry.enable=true and
-Dbw.engine.opentelemetry.metric.enable=true for enabling the metrics.

AMBW-55735
Support for JDBC Shared Resource Monitoring Metrics

ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks now exports JDBC Shared Resource metrics to
OpenTelemetry so you can monitor database connection pool health,
connection utilization, active and idle connections, and connection
acquisition latency from any supported OpenTelemetry backend.

JDBC connection pool metrics provide visibility into database usage and
performance, helping you identify bottlenecks and connection issues across
applications. Enable the metrics with the system properties
-Dbw.engine.opentelemetry.enable=true and
-Dbw.engine.opentelemetry.metric.enable=true.

AMBW-55729
Enhancement: Added support to enable / disable the HTTP MCP Server outside
BusinessWorks Studio using the bwdesign command:
setHttpMcpServerEnabled [hostname] [port]

AMBW-55603
Enhanced the BusinessWorks 6 engine framework to expose runtime metrics
including job, system, process, and activity data via OpenTelemetry (OTel),
enabling integration with OTel-compatible monitoring and observability tools.

AMBW-55602
Added OTel baggage support (context propagation of business data) to
BusinessWorks 6 tracing. Users can set custom baggage values on activities
and retrieve them downstream with the new getBaggageValue() XPath function,
allowing business-level context to propagate across service boundaries
within distributed traces.

AMBW-55467
If BusinessWorks Studio crashes or hangs due to a long-running blocked
operation, a thread dump is created. The toolbar menu now provides quick
access to log file locations, which you can easily collect and share when
reporting crash or hang issues.

AMBW-55127
BusinessWorks Studio now automatically detects a workspace crash or
"Not Responding" state and collects all relevant system and application
logs, thread dumps, and heap profiles into a single archive. A notification
dialog now appears with an Open crash dump location option, allowing
developers to quickly locate and share diagnostic data with TIBCO Support
via an SR (Windows and Linux).

AMBW-55023
Hot Update Support for MCP Server Configurations

Support has been added for hot updates to MCP Server Tools, Resources,
and Prompts. For REST and SOAP MCP servers, the Name, Description,
and Scope configurations can now be updated dynamically using module
properties without requiring a server restart.

AMBW-55002
BusinessWorks now supports Oracle 26ai.

AMBW-53998
Introduced new log messages and license error codes with unique identifiers
for license key-related logs to simplify debugging and alert configuration.

AMBW-53885
Support for Hot Updates to HTTP Shared Resources

Support has been added for hot-updating fields within HTTP Connector
and HTTP Client shared resources.

AMBW-53550
TIBCO BusinessWorks 6 (BW6) now provides native integration with
OpenTelemetry trace sampling.

AMBW-53469
Support for Kerberos/SPNEGO (Negotiate) Authentication for Inbound
HTTP Requests

The Basic Authentication Policy now includes an option to enable Kerberos
authentication, supported by a new Kerberos Authentication shared resource.
To configure client authentication, select the Kerberos Authentication
checkbox and supply the required credentials. Ensure the krb5.conf file
(configured with your Kerberos server details) is placed in the
/bw/6.12/config directory.

BWCE-11238
Added a new design-time utility command "configureProcess" to change the
process mode and modifier.

BWCE-11202
Support for multiple instances of the Monitoring Tool using a single FQDN
is provided in this version.

BWCE-11108
Support MCP Elicitation Activity Within the MCP Palette

A new MCP Elicitation activity is now available in the MCP Palette.
It allows a BusinessWorks process to request additional information
from an MCP client during execution. The activity sends an elicitation
request with a message and, optionally, a JSON Schema describing the
expected response.

Note: This is a Tech Preview feature and is only applicable to
TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF-004 and above.

By using this Tech Preview, you acknowledge and agree that:

- It is provided "as is" with no warranties, express or implied.

- It may not be deployed in production environments.

- You are responsible for ensuring that any data processed complies
with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights.

- Use of this software to analyze content or intellectual property
of Cloud Software Group is strictly prohibited.

BWCE-10257
The shared-resource hot-update feature, which lets you update shared-resource
configurations (for example, connection aliases and passwords) at runtime
via the Refresh REST API without restarting the application, now supports
SSL shared resources. In addition, hot-update now honors dependencies between
shared resources so that interdependent resources are refreshed in the correct
order (for example, SSL before JNDI, and JNDI before JMS). This prevents
connection failures and errors that could previously occur when resources
were updated out of sequence.

BWCE-10104
BusinessWorks Studio now includes a Generate Test Case wizard-accessible by
right-clicking a process (Process > Generate Test Case)-that supports direct,
debug-mode, and job-data-based test creation with automatic gold and mock
file generation.

BWCE-8466
Added MongoDB persistence support for BWCE Monitoring with Authenticated
and Non-authenticated connectivity, Health Monitoring, Data Insertion
into Monitoring collections and support for retrieving monitoring data.

BWCE-7704
Using the metric com_tibco_bw_license_expiration_seconds, license-related
information can be fetched and viewed on Prometheus and Grafana dashboards.

BWCE-5267
Added a support for hot update of JMS JNDI and SSL shared resources,
hot update now applies to the JMS JNDI and SSL shared resource fields.

Changes In Functionality

AMBW-57696
Users can now select whether to install BusinessWorks Design Assistant during
setup. In previous versions, this component was installed automatically as
part of the default installation process.

- UI / CLI Mode: During installation, select or unselect the BusinessWorks 6
Design Assistant option as needed.

- Silent Installation: Use the following property in your response file:

1. true
Set the value to true to install or false to skip installation
of BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant.

AMBW-55597
OpenAPI version validation has been updated to accept any version starting
with 3.x. REST services can now be created using OpenAPI 3.x specifications
(such as versions 3.0.1 and 3.1.x) without setting the
bw.plugin.rest.disableOpenApi3xVersionValidation=true system property.

Note: This update affects OpenAPI version validation only; it does not
introduce support for OpenAPI 3.1 specific keywords or features.

AMBW-55108
Previously, the system updated the license state only at scheduled intervals.
Now, changing a license file triggers immediate revalidation, updating the
license state within seconds.

AMBW-54411
Prior to BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF04, the default license folder was created
under BW_HOME/license. Starting with BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF04,
this folder is created under the TIBCO_HOME/license location.

AMBW-54332
Updated error logs and warning messages to the new standard format.

AMBW-53525
To avoid Broken Access Control security risks, the BusinessWorks Administrator
role permission has been renamed from full_control to bw_full_control,
which is scoped to BusinessWorks operations and excludes lifecycle
management operations.

Customer Action Required:

- Standard BusinessWorks Administrator Role: No migration is required if
the role has already been updated by unregistering and re-registering
the agent.

- Custom roles created with full_control before the BusinessWorks upgrade:
Migration is required. Run the provided migration script for each
affected role.

For more details, refer to this README:
\bw\6.12\scripts\migration\TEA_bw_full_control_migration_README.md

BWCE-10380
The Maven deploy goal will now only be used to push code to the remote
repository and will no longer perform BusinessWorks deployments.
A new goal, bwdeploy, has been introduced specifically to deploy
BusinessWorks applications to target platforms such as the TIBCO Platform
and BusinessWorks Agent.
Run mvn com.tibco.plugins:bw6-maven-plugin:bwdeploy at the application level.

Known Issues

AMBW-58338
Fixed or constant values specified in the mapping specification (for example,
"SLEV" or "ACTIVE") are not applied; the AI Mapper ignores them and maps
the field using its own judgment.

Workaround: N/A

AMBW-58337
When a target field is nested more than one level deep and the specification
references it by a partial path (for example, Debtor.Name within a deeper
structure), the AI Mapper may not locate the field and may fall back to its
own judgment for that target field.

Workaround: N/A

AMBW-58336
When the mapping specification instructs the AI Mapper to perform a specific
operation ” such as an aggregation (e.g., sum, average), an arithmetic
calculation (e.g., subtract, multiply), or a text transformation
(e.g., uppercase, lowercase)” the tool recognizes that an operation
is requested but may apply the wrong operation or choose one on its own.

Workaround: N/A

AMBW-58335
When a row in the mapping specification leaves the source field blank,
the AI Mapper ignores that row and instead uses its own best-guess mapping
for the target field.

Workaround: N/A

AMBW-58329
For Linux, the inotify API is defaulted to 128 (i.e., max_user_instances=128).
If more than 128 applications are deployed at once on the same machine then
user might run into java.io.IOException: User limit of inotify instances
reached or too many open files error.

To resolve this issue, please set the max_user_instances value at the kernel
level to a higher number.

AMBW-58228
When the BusinessWorks Agent starts up, MariaDB logs begin duplicate column
warnings for the following columns: isProfileEncrypted, lastUpdate,
milliTimeStamp, username, httpsport, keyStoreData, description, appName,
and activityInput.

Closed Issues

AMBW-58347
Fixed an issue where EAR applications built with the bw6-maven-plugin
failed at runtime with error TIBCO-THOR-FRWK-500201 when the project
contained a shared module with custom XPath functions.

AMBW-58265
The Render XML activity adds an extra xmlns="" namespace at the root level
of the schema. Set the -Dbw.xml.rootPrefixFilter.suppressEmptyURI=true
property as a VM argument in TIBCO Business Studio for BusinessWorks
to remove the unnecessary xmlns="" attribute.

AMBW-58080
TIBCO BusinessWorks now supports the SCRAM-SHA-256 authentication mechanism
for PostgreSQL 18.x database connections.

AMBW-57909
After the OAuth token expired, authentication occasionally became stuck or
unresponsive. As a result, BusinessWorks REST calls were sent without the
authentication header and incorrectly completed successfully. These REST
calls should have faulted when OAuth authentication was stuck or unavailable.

This issue has been fixed. REST calls now fault when OAuth authentication
becomes stuck after token expiration, instead of completing without the
required authentication header.

AMBW-57901
Plugin updated to 2.11.4: third-party /lib JARs are now excluded from
com.tibco.bw.module Require-Capability emission.

AMBW-57883
Fixed an issue where XSD schemas generated from REST OpenAPI 3.0.0
specifications were incorrect when nullable was used on constrained string
fields or via property-level overrides. Additionally, resolved an issue where
property-level allOf constructs combining a $ref with inline required
constraints omitted the nillable attribute.

AMBW-57643
Added new design time utility command "configureProcess" to change the
process mode and modifier.

AMBW-57527
BusinessWorks Design Assistant models in TIBCO BusinessWorks 6.12 HF4 support
configuration of "With Vision," "With Function Calls," and "Temperature."

AMBW-57451
A BusinessWorks application that exposed a REST API secured with a Basic
Authentication LDAP Service Policy (using an LDAP shared resource over SSL)
experienced intermittent login failures after periods of inactivity.

AMBW-57074
The BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant preference tree now populates immediately
after you enable the "Enable BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant (Tech Preview)"
option in Window > Preferences > BusinessWorks AI, without requiring you to
close and reopen the Preferences dialog.

AMBW-57073
Provider Name field has been added to BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant models
to easily distinguish between models sharing the same name.

AMBW-57050
This release includes the required libraries and supports successful EAR
uploads in both HTTP and HTTPS agent configurations, ensuring that
Studio-generated EAR files function properly.

AMBW-57023
Fixed a race condition in the TEA Admin UI that caused
a java.util.NoSuchElementException error popup during AppNode
remote debug port validation.

AMBW-57003
Resolved an issue where closing the BusinessWorks 6 Design Assistant
(Tech Preview) perspective prevented it from being reopened without
toggling the feature in Preferences.

AMBW-56996
Updated documentation generation in BusinessWorks Design Assistant so that
WSDL examples match the MakeDoc format.

AMBW-56995
AI-Assisted XSD Schema Documentation Generation in BusinessWorks
Design Assistant

BusinessWorks Design Assistant can now generate documentation for XSD
schemas in TIBCO BusinessWorks6 applications based on a prompt.
The generated documentation includes the schema structure, elements,
complex types, field details, and a visual representation with legends
that identify different schema element types. This makes XSD schema
documentation easier to understand, maintain, and share.

AMBW-56994
BusinessWorks documentation generated using BDA now includes an Application
Settings section covering module properties, module profiles,
and module includes.

AMBW-56976
The bwdesign command help now includes an EXAMPLES section for the
command, along with corrected SYNTAX.

AMBW-56975
The bwdesign command help now includes an EXAMPLES section for the
system:createActivity command, along with corrected SYNTAX.

AMBW-56950
The "Update Inline Schemas" refactoring failed to detect and remove
invalid fields. A fix has been provided for stale inline schema
validation and quick fixes for activity input schemas.

AMBW-56949
The RenderJSON activity generated corrupted JSON output containing unexpected
"#value" keys when processing XML fields with special characters, such as '&'.

AMBW-56939
BusinessWorks design utility command createBWApplicationModule now works both
with and without the maven plugin.

AMBW-56870
Importing a project into the Studio workspace previously took a long time
to build. This issue has now been fixed.

AMBW-56864
Fixed an java.lang.OutOfMemoryError issue that caused domain backup and
export operations to fail immediately on domains with a large number of
deployed applications.

AMBW-56806
Fixed a spurious "HK2 service reification failed" warning emitted by
DataSourceProvider when using the Invoke REST API activity with the root
logging level set to WARN.

Hardened FT group leader and standby failover transitions in JMSReceiver.
Fixed JMSSender dead-connection logic to restore automatic reconnection
alongside consumer and producer recovery after a failure.

AMBW-56602
Fixed a SQLRecoverableException: Closed Connection error in the JDBC
Update activity when an associated JDBC Query activity runs in
"Process in Subsets" mode with a subsetSize smaller than the
total number of records.

AMBW-56573
Fixed intermittent application startup failure caused by a race
condition in shared module bundle lookup during appnode restart
when bw.appnode.clean.config.folder.on.startup=true is enabled.

AMBW-56519
When a REST service was generated from a Swagger/OpenAPI 3.0 JSON
specification containing allOf schemas and a discriminator, the generated
XSD produced a flat (merged) XSD type for each allOf schema.

A new property, bw.binding.rest.swagger.allof.extension.enabled,
controls XSD generation for allOf schemas when the allOf definition
contains exactly one $ref (used as the XSD base type) and one or more
inline object schemas. To enable this behavior, set the property in the
TIBCOBusinessStudio.ini file before creating the REST service.

AMBW-56481
Improved Process Diagram activity alignment to remove excessive
right-side whitespace.

AMBW-56452
Resolved an issue where an AppNode failed to restart when the local license
file was unavailable. The engine now successfully falls back to the cached
license data.

AMBW-56442
Fixed a blank schema and procedure list issue, along with a Hebrew
character-set error, in the JDBC Call Procedure palette when using Oracle
19c with orai18n.jar.

AMBW-56369
Resolved an exception that occurred when switching a property from a module
property to a literal value. The system now properly retrieves the underlying
model value to unset the entry.

AMBW-56358
After upgrading to BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF2, the List Files activity returned
an empty result () in certain cases-for example, when the input
directory path ended with a trailing separator (C:\Customer\2555607\) or when
listing a Windows drive root. The activity now correctly handles trailing
separators, filesystem/Windows drive roots, wildcard matching, sorting, and
metadata typing, returning the expected file list.

AMBW-56286
Resolved an issue where the List Activity logged an unexpected ERROR level
message when pointing to a non-existent directory on Linux.

AMBW-56230
In BusinessWorks Enterprise runtime-only upgrades, a stale Cloud Foundry
bootstrap JAR could incorrectly limit an AppSpace to a single application.
This release removes the conflicting JAR during upgrades, restoring the
expected Enterprise application deployment limit.

AMBW-56048
Issue: Applications containing REST services created using a WSDL file failed
to start when the -Dbw.enable.mcp.server=true system property was set,
throwing a NullPointerException due to a null implementation in
RestServiceBinding.getImplementation().

Fix/ Improvement: An informative error message is now logged indicating that
MCP will not be enabled for these services, while allowing the application
to start normally. The log explicitly clarifies that REST services defined
via a WSDL interface are not supported as MCP tools and advises using
Swagger or OpenAPI-based REST definitions instead:

ERROR [pool-7-thread-1] com.tibco.bw.binding.swagger.model.client.v2.SwaggerUtils
- MCP Server: Skipping binding 'RestService1' no Swagger/OpenAPI specification
found. REST services defined via a WSDL interface are not supported as MCP
tools. To use MCP, create your REST service from a Swagger or OpenAPI JSON file.

AMBW-56004
Added a retry mechanism for OSGi bundle file-rename operations to prevent
intermittent AppNode startup failures caused by Windows Defender real-time
scanning holding active file handles.

AMBW-55770
Fixed a logger MDC null issue by adding a null check for OpenTelemetry (OTel)
configurations, ensuring stable application startup.

AMBW-55093
Applications using shared modules with SingleAppNode starters in multi-AppNode
deployments no longer fail to start during subsequent deployments.

AMBW-55069
Fixed a NullPointerException (currentValue is null) in the Repeat Until/Retry
on Error group that caused processes migrated from BusinessWorks 6.7 to fail
after catching an error.

Enable the bw.engine.enable.enhanced.memory.saving.mode=true property to
apply the fix.

AMBW-54969
The constraint has been relaxed to require only one of the two connection
factories (Queue or Topic) for the Queue/Topic style. This fix is applied
consistently across design-time validation, runtime configuration,
and the Test Connection dialog. The Generic/Unified factory style
remains unchanged.

AMBW-54951
Resolved Process Canvas Activity alignment and node overlap issues by
improving node relocation.

AMBW-54950
In TIBCO Business Studio, selecting a Reply activity and then directly
selecting a Reply with Fault activity (without clicking elsewhere first)
caused the Reply with Fault Properties view to retain the Partner Link and
Service/Operation values from the previously selected Reply activity.
This resulted in an incorrect Service name being displayed, making faults
difficult to troubleshoot. The Properties view now correctly clears and
refreshes the Partner Link and Service/Operation fields when switching
between activities, ensuring accurate values are always displayed.

AMBW-54867
Fixed an issue where the installation threw a "bw.agent.http.port is not set"
warning when a customer was using bw.agent.https.port.

AMBW-52606
Fixed an issue where the ABS() function returned a truncated integer
instead of a decimal value when executed in a JDBC Query activity on
Oracle DOUBLE PRECISION columns.

AMBW-51983
Dual-component activation is no longer observed. Auto-start-disabled
components now correctly remain inactive across all fault-tolerant (FT)
failover iterations.

AMBW-48981
Fixed an issue where non-admin users with custom roles experienced browser
hangs when configuring application archives in the TEA UI. Configurations
now loads and functions as expected for users with custom role permissions.

BWCE-11723
The Render JSON activity rendered XML elements defined as complex types with
simple content and no attributes as {"#text": value} objects instead of plain
scalar values.

This issue has now been resolved by setting the following system property:
-Dcom.tibco.bw.restjson.simplecontent.scalar=true

BWCE-11371
A new flag, com.tibco.bw.palette.parse.data.suppressDoubleQuoteCollapsing,
has been introduced to control the handling of double-quoted values ("")
in the Parse Data activity. When set to true, the activity preserves the
double quotes instead of collapsing them. When set to false, it retains
the existing default behavior of collapsing the double quotes.

BWCE-11344
In-flight messages interrupted by a graceful shutdown are now recovered (
redelivered) instead of acknowledged, preventing message loss for one-way SOAP
services using client acknowledgment.

BWCE-11272
The setup.sh script has been corrected. Governance policies are now properly
enforced when BW_GOVERNANCE_ENABLED is set to true (or TRUE/True).
Additionally, if BW_GOVERNANCE_ENABLED is not set, the engine automatically
detects policy JARs in the deployed EAR file and enables governance accordingly.

BWCE-11198
The issue preventing the SOAP service binding context from opening
has been resolved.

BWCE-10956
The Process Name Dynamic Override field in the Call Process activity throws
a deployment-time PVM-XML-106018: Expression Creation Error when the XPath
expression references a variable from an onMessage trigger.

BWCE-10611
BWCE application logs no longer emit repeated OpenTelemetry warnings regarding
duplicate metric attribute recordings (CPU_UP_TIME, heap metrics).

BWCE-10418
Applications whose module directory paths contain spaces failed to start with
a WSDL/XSD cache-resolution error (TIBCO-BW-WSDL-CACHE-500008: ¦ no xsd for
this imported location), even though the referenced WSDL and schema files were
present. This issue occurred because %20-encoded bundle URIs normalized
inconsistently in the cache-loading pipeline. URI handling has been corrected
so schema and WSDL references now resolve correctly regardless
of spaces in the path.

Deprecated Features

AMBW-56242
The Maven goals for deploying to Containers and PCF have been deprecated
in BusinessWorks 6.12.0 HF4 and are scheduled for complete removal
in the next release.
