How to resolve "Error 1069:The service did not start due to a logon failure." ?
Resolution
This error typically corresponds with the service identity credentials being incorrect. This will also correspond to an an event viewer error message that has details of the error. Navigate to Event Viewer>> Windows Logs>>System to confirm with details of service start failure. "The user name or password is incorrect."
To resolve :
1. Right click on the service name and click properties. Select the Logon tab. 2. If "Log on as" is set to "This account" correct the account name and password. 3. Start the service.
