Description
This article illustrates the required steps to query data from TDV into Microsoft Power BI
Pre-requisites :
1. Published view in TDV Server
2. Power BI adapter to be downloaded from edelivery.tibco.com and installed as per instructions to install the Power BI Connector
3. Defining ODBC Data Source Name (DSN) to be configured to point to the TDV server as per instructions

Resolution
1. Launch Power BI Desktop and click on Get Data.
2. Select TIBCO Data Virtualization Connector. Fill details of DSN configured in Pre-requisite 3 above . Choose appropriate advanced options and select between Import (create local copy of Data) vs Direct Query (Realtime query) as appropriate for use case as illustrated below :
3. Once the data is loaded into Power BI, create visualizations as required with TDV data fields available in the right hand pane of Power BI Desktop.
