Description

Under a normal setup, the TIBCO EMS server fault tolerance is configured with two EMS servers - primary and secondary, one in the active state and the other is in standby and in the case of a failover situation the standby is ready to take over to shared configuration and stores located in the shared storage and become active.

In contrast, on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform the EMS setup/solution relies on OpenShift restart mechanisms. In a container, only one EMS instance is ruining and in case of process/server /pod failure, the TIBCO EMS server will restart inside its container, In case of container failure, the cluster will recreate the container on a different node and restart the EMS server process.
