How to perform Levene's test for variance homogeneity?

Resolution

1. In Statistica, go to "Statistics" | "Basic Statistics"

2. In the Basic Statistics dialog, select "t-test, independent, by groups" and Click OK.

3. In the 2-independent sample t-test dialog, click on "Variables" to specify the dependent and categorical grouping variables to analyze.

4. After specifying variables, click on "Options", Tick "Levene's test" under "Homogeneity of variances". You can also tick the option "Test w/ separate variance estimates" if you want to get the t-test result with separate variance estimates.

5. Click on "Summary" to obtain the t-test result table with p-values from t-test and Levene's test

6. To get more information of Levene's test, under "Option" tab, click on the question mark on top right corner of the Independent sample t-test dialog to direct to the Statistica e-manual help page.

In the e-manual help page, you can find some explanations and how to interpret the result of Levene's test, as well as explanations of the "Test w/ separate variance estimates" option.
