Mashery Control center has four available menus for navigation:
- Analyze
- Manage
- Design
- Deploy [only if you have Mashery Local on-premise solution]
Access to the above menus changes based of the role that the user has. Mashery has 10 roles available for its users. Following are the roles and their functionalities:
1. API Manager : API manager can see the menus Manage and Design
(Manage: Domains, Scheduled Maintenance;Design: APIs, Packages, Notification Templates, Response Filters)
2. Administrator : Administrator can view all three menus design, analyze and manage.
(Analyze: reports, Audit History and Call Log Stream
Design: APIs, packages, notification templates, response filters and interactive documentation.
Manage: content,community, domains, portal, maintenance, users, apps, package keys,
organization, portal access groups, api marketplace)
3. Community Manager: This user can view menus Analyze and Manage. This user cannot assign administrative roles, but can create and assign custom roles.
(Analyze: Executive Summary, Reports; Manage: Community, Users, Apps, Keys, Custom Roles )
4. Reports User : This user can see Analyze menu
Reports user can analyze Reports. Reports can be on API usage, calls made with respect to packages and s
services.
5. Call Inspector Administrator: This user can only view Analyze tab. The user is able to view call logs and change Log settings. Note: Only available where Call Inspector is enabled.
6. Call Inspector User: This user can only view Analyze menu. The user is able to only view call logs and does not have access to Log settings. Note: Only available where Call Inspector is enabled.
7. Program Manager: This user can view analyze and Manage menus. The user can create and assign Portal Access Groups owned by this organization and can assign keys to plans owned by this organization. Program manager cannot assign administrative roles.
(Analyze: Executive Summary, Reports; Manage: Content, Community, Users, Applications, Keys, Custom Roles)
8. Support User: This user has read-only access to all pages in the API Control Center dashboard. Buttons (such as Save, Create, Edit and Delete) and various fields (such as check-boxes and text boxes) are disabled for read-only users.
NOTE: From a GUI point of view Support User persona will have access will be similar to Administrator Role but the user will not have edit option and is only a read-only view.
9. Portal Manager: He can only view Manage menu. Has access to Portal Settings and Content Management.
Portal Manager can manage Content and Portal and he can design Interactive Documentation.
10. Content Manager: This user can only view manage tab, the user has access to Content Management.
