Description
If you are using two columns on the Y axis and one column has aggregation and another column does not have aggregation, then the visualization will throw the error, "The expression is not valid". If you separate the Y- axis columns and put them on different visualization, it works.
Issue/Introduction
This article describes what to do if you add multiple Y-axis columns to a plot in Spotfire and get the error "The expression is not valid"
Resolution
One reason that you may see the error "The expression is not valid" is because if the first column has an aggregation but the second column does not. All the columns that are used on the Y axis should either have aggregation on all the columns or they should not have any aggregation. The attached file (MultipleYaxis.dxp) illustrates both the issue and the ways to address it.
