How to resolve "There are no valid local LDAP groups available for user "[user]"  in "[domain]"domain " while logging into TDV (TIBCO Data Virtualization) Studio after adding a domain in TDV Manager ?

Issue/Introduction

How to resolve "There are no valid local LDAP groups available for user" ?

Resolution

1. On TDV Server, open ldap.properties file from [TDV Installation Directory]\conf\server\ and take a note of the user search context.
2.  Look up the specific user's membership using a third party LDAP tool such as LDAP Browser or LDAP Administrator

3. Update the  [domain].all.users.search.context and [domain].user.search.context - Leave out the DC information if it is already part of the defined LDAP URL. Add atleast one of the CN and OU with a pipe symbol as shown below and re-try the login to TDV Studio.
