This article provides the steps to connect to the TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) Repository database "cisrepo" from TDV Studio.

Environment

All Supported Operating Systems

Resolution

(1) Open TDV Studio, and create a new data source using the latest 'PostgreSQL' adapter available. 
Example - PostgreSQL 9.1 or later that is available in Studio.  

(2) Provide the connection details - 
Host: localhost
Port: TDV base port + 8
database name: cisrepo
login: root
password: [TDV Repository password given during TDV Sever install]

Note: If TDV Server is running on Linux, the hostname will still be 'localhost'

(3) Click on 'Create & Introspect'

(4) Introspection will bring the repository tables that are accessible to the root user. Select the "cisrepo" schema from the list.
