In this article, we will discuss the process of connecting TDV repository from pgAdmin or DBVisualizer using the root user.
Note: It is not recommended to make any changes to the TDV repository database. Any changes that are made to the repo database can render the application unusable.

How to connect to TIBCO Data Virtualization repository via pgAdmin/ DBvisualizer?
Environment
Windows
Resolution
- Create a new server in pgAdmin and enter the below details according to your deployment.
- Hostname
- Port
- Database
- Username and password: we can use the "root" username and our repo password here.
- Connect to the created server and then we can introspect TDV repo as "cisrepo" (refer to the below screenshot).
We can get the details from the example data sources present in TDV studio (refer to the below screenshot).
The above steps can be followed if you're using other JDBC client tools such as DBVisualizer.
