How to resolve "Failed to save Global Options file: C:\WebStatisticaPub\RepositoryRoot\SETTINGS\_SWSGlobalOptions.xml" while saving Global options as an Administrator on WebStatistica, if encountered ?
Resolution
To resolve the issue, follow the below steps :
1. Remote into the WebStatistica Server as a user with Administrator privileges.
2. Navigate to the physical location on the error , i.e , in this case : C:\WebStatisticaPub\RepositoryRoot\SETTINGS
3. Right click on the folder, select Properties.
4. Uncheck "Read Only" in the General tab under attributes and Apply changes to all subfolders and files as illustrated below :
5. Try saving the Global options again. The global options will be saved as expected.
