Can we use newer Oracle adapters to connect to older Oracle databases?
For example, using the Oracle 19c thin driver to connect to a Oracle 12c database.

Can we use newer Oracle adapters to connect to older Oracle databases?
Resolution
Yes this is possible, as long as the connection do not use any of the new API JDBC functionalities that are not present in Oracle 12c databases.
