The Insights option is designed to generate analytic insights. By clicking the Insights tab on the sidebar, you can easily run advanced analyses and generate visualizations and narratives from your data set without manually preparing and analyzing your data or having prior knowledge of data science or statistics. This feature requires DSML services installed with Ubuntu 20.04 or above to execute successfully.

To disable the Insights tab, follow these steps:

1. Review the edaserve.cfg file found in the directory ...\ibi\srv93\wfs\bin  for the WF Reporting Server.

2. Remove the Python URL from the edaserve.cfg file.
   The Python URL should appear under the WORKSPACE section as pyserv_url, as shown below:

    [Workspace] edahome = ...ibi\srv93\home workspace_manager_name = "WebFOCUS 93 Server" server_type = ffs pyserv_url = http://xxxxxxxx

    

3. Make this change, save the edaserve.cfg file, and restart the WF Reporting Server.

4. Once that is complete, access Designer and you can see that the Insights tab is no longer visible/operational.
