Description

The option to change the target connection using the Change option in Configure Steps is not enabled when the source and target connections are the same in a DTS.

Each TIBCO Scribe® Insight DTS has a source datastore Connection and one or more target datastore Connections.  Depending on the configuration of your DTS, you may have a target Connection that is the same as your source Connection.  If you need to change a target Connection that is the same as your source Connection, you cannot use the Change option in the Configure Steps dialog.  The Change option is not enabled as shown in the following image:

Resolution

  2. On the Work Bench, click Configure Source. The Keep Existing Links warning displays.
  3. Select Keep existing links and click OK.

  1. On the Configure Source dialog, change the source Connection to the new source Connection you just created. All of the data and lookup links are fine since the source fields are the same.
