Having an incorrect system clock can cause SSL communications problems with the registration server.
Cause: This can be caused by one of two issues:
1. If the system clock date is set past the Valid Through date of the SSL certificate of the server, then the system will identify the server certificate as expired and the connection will fail
2. If the system clock is inaccurate, then the Certificate Revocation List (CRL) may be rejected by the system as too old and the connection will fail. CRLs are typically only good for 24 hours after issue so this might happen even if the time difference is not significant.
