Summary: The information below pertains to the Organization field on the Connection dialog for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 / CRM Connector in TIBCO Scribe® Online.
On the Connection dialog for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 / CRM Connector in TIBCO Scribe® Online there is an Organization field that requires an Organization instance name to be entered to connect to that CRM instance. This field can be completed by entering the CRM Organization instance name manually, or using the browse button to see the list of CRM instance names associated with your user and choosing the correct the CRM instance from the list.
CRM instance names can be changed for CRM Organizations. If the CRM Connector is using an instance name and the name is changed in CRM, the Connector does not pick up the change automatically. Solutions start generating errors similar to the following: Failed to open one or more connections when trying to use the CRM connector with a bad instance name.
If you open the Connection, leave the old instance name in the Organization field, and click Browse an error is generated because TIBCO Scribe® Online tries to authenticate the CRM user with the Organization in the field. To change the instance name, manually clear the value in the Organization field and then either manually type in the new instance name or select Browse at that time.
Note: The CRM instance friendly/unique name can also be used in the Organization field. This name is not available when browsing but can be found in the top right hand corner of the CRM Organization and can be entered manually in the Connection dialog. Note that the friendly/unique name is case sensitive. The friendly/unique name cannot be changed and it is considered a best practice to use it in the Connection.
