Description

The Connector for Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Microsoft Dynamics 365 is not properly handling the new “Customer” field data type. (D34640, D34436 / Case # 52352 )

Update/Insert operations processing fields with this data type fail with the following error:

Operation failed.  Label: Update/Insert attribute, Name: Step_name, Message: -2147220989:Attribute your_attribute must not be NULL if attribute your_attribute is not NULL
If value “Contact” is provided, error message is “Input string was not in a correct format”.

Issue/Introduction

Customer data type is not a valid status code and Dynamics CRM does not let you set the picklist. It gives null attribute error.

Resolution

UPDATE:  This issue has been resolved in the 1.7.1 release of the The Connector for Dynamics CRM and the hotfix is no longer required. For TIBCO Scribe Insight, the issue is resolved with the 5.5.5 version of the TIBCO Scribe Insight Adapter for Dynamics CRM.  If using a version older that 5.5.5, please upgrade your TIBCO Scribe Insight and Adapter versions to the most recent.
